It is the eve of Move, Part I – the Drive. After several tedious days, we have taken everything we own and either squeezed it into a box, or thrown it away. Even though we have gotten rid of so much, there is still far too much stuff to fit into the van…. think we will be spending tomorrow morning deciding what things we can live without… Doh.
The house is looking fairly barren and stripped (well, except for the room with all the boxes in, which looks war-torn). The cat, needless to say, is less than impressed with all the chaos and disruption, but I have managed to keep her fairly placid by building her a cat nest on the sofa, which she has been hiding in every time it all gets too much. I took some pictures of the house being stripped of all our stuff, and was going to post them, but realise I have already packed the lead to plug my camera into my laptop. Doh again.
Mum and Dad get here around lunch time tomorrow, then we load up the van and Matt n Dad are off! Mum n I will follow (via Stanstead) Saturday morning, for Move, Part II – the Flight. The plan is to hopefully all get there at the same time. We shall see….!
