2007
The year that Apple unleashed the iPhone on the world. Also the year that Gordon Brown finally succeeded in ousting Tony Blair to take over No. 10.
The biggest news for us personally was probably Matt’s new job : he moved to an investment bank called Dresdner Kleinwort where he headed a team of developers. This would later prove pivotal in facilitating our change of lifestyle.
In other news, it was the year our friends Andrew and Tony relocated to Valencia in southern Spain, the year Will’s parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary, and the year we got to see Prince in concert at the O2. He was mind blowing.
We also got in some travel, with our annual Kefalonian pilgrimage in July.

In November we took a trip to Paris with our friend Gerald and his partner at the time (confusingly also called Will).

But the big trip of the year was in September when we did an east coast sequel of our 2005 west coast trip. This took in New York (of course), Maryland, DC, Massachusetts and Maine. We also swang by Minneapolis to see the family and meet the newest addition : Suzy and Steve’s third daughter, Evie.
