Today we opened a joint bank account. It was all very easy since Sharon was kind enough to introduce us to her banker. It only took an hour and we had to sign about twenty different pieces of paper but that’s express service in France.
Another first today – no rain! It wasn’t exactly warm and sunny but it was nice to be out and not get wet. We went for a walk yesterday to our nearest village, Monsec, and back and it started raining just as we set out and stopped just as we were coming up the hill to our place.
We’re mostly settled in now although we still have a few things to sort out including getting a WiFi booster for the big barn room. We returned the hire car today but have the use of Sharon’s since she’s off to London next week. Hopefully, ours will be ready to collect by the time she returns since you can’t really get along here for more than a few days without one. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been car dependent so that will take some getting used to.
