Happy Valentines Day

There is so little to report, I’ve coopted today’s greeting card holiday for my title. As you might have guessed, we never celebrate Valentines Day and this year is no exception.

We did nothing at the weekend. It was windy again, although not as bad as the previous storm. It’s also been freakishly warm – today the hight will be 16C with lots of sun.

We’re both busy at work. I’m mainly working on my big project, and Will continues to chip away at his list of unfinished sites. In fact, we may be putting one of them live today. I’ve held up the launch since I spotted something I wanted to change, and have been working at it the last day or so. It’s only partially fixed, but the client is anxious to go live, so we’ll live with it for now.

I’m off to Perigueux to see the back specialist today. My back has slowly continued to improve, so I’m not sure he’ll have much to say.

It’s the Soirée Savoyarde this weekend. So far, very few people have reserved, so it’s not shaping up to be a great success. It’s going to occupy our entire weekend. We start setting up on Friday, food prep and musical equipment Saturday afternoon and the event itself that evening. We invited a folk group from the Savoie to come and perform. There are 14 of them, and they all require lodging. Sophie made the arrangements and suggested doing a cultural exchange, so she’s cooking two Perigourdine meals and booked them a guided tour of Brantome. Since their driver is only allowed to drive them to Milhac and back, we have to chauffeur them around on Sat / Sun.

There really isn’t much else to say so I’ll keep this short and sweet.
